The exhibition #InspirationContemporyArtandClassics @Ateneum is an interesting experience...especially for art historians. Contaminations, inspirations, and influences in art have always existed with a more or less degree of awareness among artists and art critics.

However here the reference to classics was searched, meditated, programmed, intentional. It succeeds in raising a reflection upon the meaning of inspirations not only in the art practices but more generally on how it affects culture, society, and mainstream thinking.
It was fun finding out reference artworks behind the artworks exhibited and at the same time challenging to reflect about the several issues raised by every single artwork.
