Che sorpresa! Buongiorno, Raffaello Gambogi. È bello trovare, su una parete fra tanti altri quadri, un pezzetto di Italia, con i suoi colori, profumi, luce e atmosfera, e soprattutto l'incedere stanco, in un momento di riposo nella calura, del lavoro estivo.

Everything of it looks some how so familiar and Italian: the light, the colours, the atmosphere, even the plants and the buildings.

A GREAT FAMILY TRIP TO JAPAN!

KYOTO

Japan is a wonderful place and easy to travel in with small children. One can literally find a convenient store for an onigiri to go and a public toilet at every corner. In the beginning of May the weather was awesome and trains did not disappoint their legendary punctuality. Food is amazing and yet so diversified (we actually regret we ate sushi too little times).

Contrary to what one would expect, we did not feel lacking "living space" at any time as there are huge green areas and parks everywhere and people move with such order and respect of others that even in crowded places it is possible to walk at ease.

On our way to Japan

We were in Japan for 3 weeks and walked kilometres after kilometres (and actually found out that  our 4 year old did not really need a pram anymore after all) visiting Osaka, Kyoto, Tokyo, Yokohama,  and Nara.

We were the ones locked in the cage here, not the monkey :

From Kyoto to Tokyo by Shinkansen including a spectacular view on the Fuji Mount. Tokyo is an overwhelming place...we loved every inch of it.
